Antre (pronounced ant-er) is an old english word for a cave or cavern.
Drawing on a wide
range of influences in particular black metal, death metal, thrash & hardcore to create an atmosphere which is more claustrophobic, savage and intense than ethereal, Antre is a representation of the inner dark place in all of us, the dark cave in our souls and the anger and rage that manifests itself there.

For a first release this is very good quality in recording and songwriting/ arrangements. Although it is not sticking out of other Blackgaze releases it is fun listening to it. It gets darker with every track which is a good development when listening to it. I would be interested how it could develop even 2 steps darker. Maybe on the LP. 6 out of 10 goats

Smell of Autumn has been a favorite track of mine since I first heard it a couple years ago. To me, it manages to express the same passionate flourishes in style, pace, and emotion that Gallowbraid hit with Ashen Eidolon but Underdark did it in less than half the time. It's the perfect BM song to fit into a playlist, even beside non-metal tracks. Love it!

awesome black metal with post elements. dark, brutal and melodic at the same time. especially the interpretation of The Cures Plainsong is a masterpiece especially when it comes to the vocals. nice recording!
